Nirvana is not only a place of rejuvenation and healing but it also a place of learning. The goal of the Spotlight Event Series is to bring in distinguished medical professionals to Nirvana to share valuable information with the local community about their health in order to improve their quality of life.
Last Saturday, July 23rd, we kicked off our series of Spotlight Events at Nirvana with a presentation from Gregory Keller, MD, FACS. 11 enthusiastic women and one gentleman joined us at Nirvana for a free continental breakfast and to hear from world renown plastic surgeon, Dr. Keller. In addition to having offices in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, Dr. Keller practices in Dubai every other month and he is also a Clinical Professor at UCLA.
Dr. Keller revealed the latest in facial plastic surgery techniques both invasive and non invasive and explained that his goal with each patient is to have his work look as natural as possible. Dr. Keller also shared with us that he encourages all his patients to use hyperbaric oxygen therapy in conjunction with his work.. He noted that hyperbaric oxygen therapy makes his job easier because it eliminates the bruising, the reperfusion injury and the swelling associated with surgery in addition to speeding up the healing time by 50% and helping patients sleep better during the healing process.
