Solvang, Santa Barbara County, California—On Tuesday, August 30, 2011, the public is invited to attend a free “Spotlight Event” at Nirvana Hyperbaric Institute located at 2028 Village Lane in Solvang featuring board certified Family Physician Eric Sletten, MD, a certified “Defeat Autism Now!” Practitioner. A native of California Dr. Sletten earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and completed a three year residency at the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC). He serves as Team Physician for the California State University, Northridge (CSUN); serves on the faculty and teaches and practices integrative sports medicine. He and his wife Julie are the co-founders of the Sletten Wellness Medical Center in Ventura. At 20 months of age, their son was diagnosed with autism. They found mainstream medicine offered little hope for recovery; so they did exhaustive research and learned of Autism Research Institute-sponsored Defeat Autism Now! approach.
