On Saturday, August 13th, we had a "disorganized and informal potluck get together" for Nirvana co-founder Roger Hunter's 67th birthday. The get together was held on our out door patio at the ranch on a warm and beautiful evening. With great dishes provided by our dear friends Jeanne, Joli and Kasey, Laura K., Laura C and Orsa, Diane & Jim, Thaddeus, Ambia and Tristan, Rise, and Lilian, we had an absolutely delicious selection of wines, appetizers, salads, and meats. And for desert, Heidi, in absentia, graciously made a German Chocolate cake from scratch with lots of love for the birthday boy.
A party would not be a party if we didn't pull "Doc" out to give pony rides to Kasey and Tristan, who was a little scared of such a big horse but said he would get on Doc the next time. Check out these photos from the party:
